That's why it's such a shame, as you pointed out, some people have waited almost 14 Years for this mess, I feel sorry for them, genuinly.

Why is Gears of War 3 getting brought in to this? Because of it's third-person perspective? Jesus, Gears of War 3 is going to score highly, everywhere. Mark my words, the beta was the most enjoyable gaming experience I've ever had and it improves leaps and bounds over the second title in almost every aspect. That's what a sequel needs to do, improve.

Many people have been in denial claiming it to be an old model of the game, but as many members of the Forum have stated, it's not, some with slight evidence. Why would Gearbox release an old demo to the first access club when most members obtained said demo through pre-order, and are capable of cancelling their pre-order?

I've posted my opinions of the demo as a Blog Post, if anyone's interested, it's in the pending section. Overall, the demo was extremely disappointing...

Have you played the Demo? If so, you'd understand completely were I'm coming from. If you head over to the Official Duke Nukem Forever forums you'll see die hard Duke Fans complaining, even suggesting they've cancelled their Pre-orders. If you look at my earlier comments you'll even see I was very much anticipating Duke Nukem Forever.

I've been waiting almost Four Years for this game, it looked in 2008 to be the ideal Horror FPS title, with players wielding doors and vents, utilising the technology introduced in the films and relying on strong teamwork. I can not wait for the E3 Gameplay reveal, if this teaser is anything to go by, this title will have been worth the wait. And that's coming from someone who's not a great fan of FPS'.

I am aware of this, I study both Media and English in college, I am merely stating that you are comparing a viewer/listener/gamers understanding of a media text to written text. Reading music is a completely different task than listening to the music. I see where you are coming from, I simply disagree. It was an opinion, my comment wasn't intended to spark an argument...

A 10 for gameplay would suggest it was perfect, when really I would have considered the shooting mechanics to have been sluggish. A great game, but nowhere near perfect. Too many gamers views are blinded by the games visuals, the game is stunning yes, the animations are slick, yes. But there is much to improve upon. The shooting mechanics were sluggish, with poor hit detection...

The Daily Mail consider themselves to be the Guardian for the United Kingdom, when really they're only criticising their readers, by claiming videogames will manipulate their actions, transform them in to senseless killers, they are making comparisons to those in poor state of mind who have become easily influenced. Those of whom have commited a crime after playing a videogame were already in a poor condition mentally. How is a sequence so over the top as a train chase sequence going to i...

I wouldn't particularly consider literature to have any relevance to understanding what is being said to you.

Lambent Riftworm and Corpser Confirmed.
Having been a Gears of War obsessive since day one, this is obviously going to be my personal Game of the Year. The beta was the greatest gaming experience I've ever had the pleasure to play. September 20th can't come quick enough...

I dont even like the Call of Duty franchise and I know aspects of his comment are incorrect. It was Price of whom was rescued from the Prison in Modern Warfare 2 BY Soap.

Modern Warfare 2's Storyline wasn't incredibly ambitious, nor was it original, but despite my hatred for the Call of Duty franchise, I gave Infinity Ward credit for taking risks. "No Russian" and the death of Ghost and such were daring in some aspects, with Ghost being a very hype character. Treyarch however took no risks, except for the risk of copying The Deer Hunter's famous Russian Roullette scene almost move for move.

It frustrates me that Epic are making it SO easy for the lower Ranks to recieve Rank 100 now, I reached Rank 100 with the standard amount of XP, I'll be rewarded in the retail of Gears of War 3 with a Medal, knowing that Noobs using the 30 XP will have it makes it feel less an honour...

Anyway, back to the Beta (Which is fantastic for those of whom haven't played it) I'm so glad I got early access, I've loved this past month...
